LTA promotes London Tennis Show

14 March 2010

London Tennis ShowThe Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has thrown it full weight behind the inaugural London Tennis Show which opens its doors at the ExCel Exhibition Centre for three days on April 30, with free entry for club members pre-registering on http://www.londontennisshow.com/ before April 17.

The governing body of the sport in Britain, having fully supported the event since it was first announced, is now sending out a marketing package to 1500 secretaries of affiliated clubs in the South East and East. The package includes a poster to promote the show and leaflets to be distributed to club members offering free attendance.

Roger Draper points out: "The show will bring together everything that is tennis, showcasing the entire spectrum of the sport under one roof and offering a great day out for tennis enthusiasts."

Already committed to the show organised by the Golf Show Group in partnership with the Tennis Industry Association, are, amongst others, Prince, Wilson, Head, and Babolat while the Fitness Co will be acting as official retailer for all the major brands plus K Swiss, Nike and Adidas.

The LTA itself will be taking a 112 metre stand and provide a full array of activities on the tennis court.

There will also be a number of ‘trade' stands which will be of particular interest to club managers and committees.

Roger Draper adds: "The show will give tennis lovers the chance to see everything that is new in the sport. Visitors can test the latest rackets on the full-size court, enjoy free coaching and take part in a host of interactive features with fantastic prizes up for grabs, as well as seeing the hottest on-court fashions, top tennis destinations and a full schedule of activity on the show's stage including celebrity appearances.

"The event provides a great day out for anyone who has an interest in our game, from existing tennis players to those looking for a new sport."

The event runs alongside the popular London Golf Show and visitors to the tennis show are also able to attend the golf event for free.

Bookings from exhibitors are still being accepted for what will be an exciting occasion, one which conveniently launches the tennis season in Britain.
