Marin Cilic, the top seed, won his fifth career title when hesuccessfully defended his Zagreb Indoors crown 6-4 6-7(5) 6-3 against Michael Berrer of Germany.

Berrer, ranked 65 in the world, was making his first appearance in a tour final but was unable to get the better of the Australian Open semi-finalist.

Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci beat Juan Monaco 6-2 0-6 6-4 in the Movistar Open final in Santiago, Chile.

The third seed had beaten hometown hero - and top seed - Fernando Gonzalez in the semi-final and looked on course for comfortable title victory only tp lose his way in the second set.

The 22 year-old left-hander recovered in the third to go an claim his second ATP career title following last year's win in Gstaad.

Meanwhile Feliciano Lopez, having beaten top seed Gael Monfils in the semis, was crowned SA Tennis Open champion after a comfortable straight sets 7-5 6-1 victory over first-time ATP Tour finalist Stephane Robert of France.
