France, the Czech Republic and Croatia have all established 3-0 leads in their respective World Group ties against Germany, Belgium and Ecuador.

Meanwhile Spain, Argentina, Russia, Serbia are all 2-1 up against their opponents, Switzerland, Sweden, India, and the USA while Chile, playing a day later than the rest, have gained the initiative against Israel whom they lead by 2-0.
